Cultivating Beauty. Growing Impact. Since 1912.
For more than a century, the Garden Club of Cleveland has worked to enrich the landscapes, communities, and natural environments of Northeast Ohio. What began in 1912 as a shared appreciation for gardening has grown into an enduring commitment to civic beauty, environmental stewardship, horticultural education, and artistic expression.
Our influence can be seen in the public gardens and landscapes we have helped shape, the natural habitats we have worked to protect, and the knowledge and creativity our members continue to share.
We believe that the beauty of a garden extends far beyond its boundaries. It inspires curiosity, strengthens communities, encourages conservation, and connects generations through a shared appreciation for the natural world.
Our work is rooted in tradition, guided by purpose, and always growing toward the future.
The Garden Club of Cleveland’s impact takes many forms. Through hands-on projects, education, creative pursuits, and community collaboration, our members bring experience, curiosity, and dedication to five areas of focus.
Through thoughtful planning, fundraising, advocacy, and collaboration with community partners, our members have helped transform public landscapes into places that inspire connection, reflection, and civic pride.
Through conservation education, environmental advocacy, habitat restoration, and collaboration with like-minded organizations, the Garden Club of Cleveland works to protect the natural resources and ecological diversity of Northeast Ohio.
